A STORY BEHIND THE PAINTING:

This large oil painting was inspired by our extraordinary butterfly garden right in front of my art studio here in West Michigan. Bright vivid colors mixed with soft pinks and movement of the strong yet gentle brush strokes will bring you the most cherished moments of the summer. The evening sun bathes my flower garden in a warm, golden light. It filters through the leaves, creating dappled patterns of life. Trees and shrubs provide shade and shelter, and the soft rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze adds to the overall sense of tranquility.
