The Colors of Love | 40"x30" | unframed

$1,700.00

It is an extraordinary joy for me to capture a vibrant beauty of this amazing spring flower! For an artist, to live in Holland, Michigan, right by the tulip gardens with millions of blooms in April and May, it is such a delightful treat! Coming from Siberia, where spring is short, and the goal for the Siberians had always been to grow vegetables due to the shortage of food in the collapsed Soviet Union, I was actually not really familiar with this remarkable flower.

And then I discovered that just a few miles from our home, there is such an exceptionally magical place as Veldheer Tulip Gardens! The generous owners, Vern, Jim, and Jodi, welcomed me to come any time to paint those jewels of life! And, within a year, my Tulip painting won the Peoples’ Choice Award. The next year my “Spectacle” won the 1st place and became the 2016 Tulip Time Festival Poster. In 2017, yet another painting got People’s Choice Award!

As I started to get to know the flower, learning so many varieties, colors, shapes, we truly became inseparable. I was immensely inspired to create tulip artwork in watercolor and oil, intrigued by the paintings process, always impressionistic and intuitive, allowing my true expressiveness to come out freely.

Observing closely this oil painting you will discover a rich variety of colors, making this piece enigmatic. This piece of art will make a fabulous addition to any style of homes, from classic, to modern and cottage.
