Veldheer Tulip Garden | 16"x20"

$320.00

This painting has been done right there, at the Veldheer Tulip Garden, on May 7, 2019. In fact, I invited a number of artists to come there and paint plein air. This year we are having the most remarkable blooms due to weather conditions- it's more on the cold side and wet. I guess, perfect for tulips. I spent practically entire week of our Tulip Time Festival at the gardens, painting, talking with visitors , demonstrating tulips watercolors, giving away art and selling it. Even though, with all these activities during entire week, it is rather exhausting, but such experience brings immeasurable satisfaction and overall value. I connect with both tulips and community, get to now them better and better and this effects my expressiveness of the art.

Each painting has a story of creation and another story of how it effects the viewers and the buyers. It’s always very emotional and rather powerful for me. The woman, who bought this painting has seen a reflection of her son adoption story. Isn't it amazing?
