A Walk in The Past | 8"x10"
Oil on Canvas
This painting, as all of my art, reflects the most emotional moment while interacting with surroundings.
In my art I subconsciously bring the warmest memories of my childhood whether it is growing up in Siberian woodland or spending my summers with my grandparents in a Belarusian village.
I have come to a realization that the strongest feelings we have are the ones that connect us with our childhood experiences.
So, this painting brings me to my last year solitude walk along the river by the village, where my mother grew up, where my father as a young military officer was stationed, where he met my mother and where I spent all my summers.
As an immigrant, revisiting my native land is my lifeline.
