Michigan Countryside, Dorr, 24th Street #4 | 16"x20"

$350.00

Oil on Canvas

One of the November days, in fact, it was the so called Black Friday day here in the USA, which is right after the Thanksgiving, my husband convinced me to take off and check out one of countryside auctions. It's rather entertaining, I must say. That crowd of the participants is country people, to whom we relate quite well. Great socializing for my husband. Really. He could joke his head off and the locals would absolutely love it. With his English accent, beard face and provocative jokes- he does stand out and he loves it. And yes, at times, he even lucky to bid for the garden equipment we may or may not need.

Anyhow, that day, I thought, it would be a nice get away for me. And it was. The day was not necessarily warm, in fact, it was rather cold. I decided, as usually, to take a short walk around the auctioned property, take a few pictures of this place, that we have visited before. Dorr, Michigan.

I was so mesmerized by the November colors, for two hours I had been walking back and forth, admiring the same field, creek, trees, brushes from different angels and took tons of photos. Several times, being very cold, I would go to the car, trying to warm up a bit. But, the nature called me back to continue my intimate dialogue with it. Those dried roadside grasses, vast spreading fields, hundreds of shades of grey and just a bit of left over colors from that glorious fall-all of that had made on me such an impact.

The nature was calm, poised and totally ready for the winter blizzards and snow. It was magnificent!
