Acrylic, gold leaf, pieces of land
This painting is a reflection of my deep interest in history and psychology, which began 48 years ago, when I, a 10 year old Russian girl, first touched the enigmatic Egyptian pyramids and Sphinx stones. My family attended the most powerful experience during one of Egyptian nights and listened to the story of pyramids, told by the pyramids themselves. Old walls have a lot to tell us and each story has its own dramatic turns sometimes with beautiful moments intertwined with heinous ones. Cracked and worn out, these walls protected lives and gave hopes. Even if they are now of no physical use to humans, they still attract Beauty.
